Trans United Charlotte is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote authenticity, connection, and social justice for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. This is a space to express our dedication to creating a safe and inclusive community. We strive to offer support, education, and advocacy to empower transgender and gender non-conforming individuals to live their truth.

Nora Morton (She/Her)
Executive Director & Founding Board Member
Nora is a dedicated LGBTQIA+ advocate with over a decade of experience in the construction and automation sectors. She utilizes these skills to uplift and assist the transgender and gender non-conforming community through various career development initiatives.
A lifelong Carolina Panthers fan, Nora brings her passion and energy to her work in the community. She is an avid boater and spends her weekends at Lake Norman helping to solidify the LGBTQ presence on the waters of North Carolina. Nora loves dogs, nature, and learning new skills and ideas.
She is deeply committed to assisting individuals by offering resources for self-empowerment, and creating safe, supportive environments for everyone. Her inspiring leadership and compassionate advocacy make a significant and positive impact on the lives of those she serves.
Charlotte Hayes (She/Her)
Treasurer & Founding Board Member
Charlotte is a dedicated LGBT advocate and proud parent of two daughters. With a background as a US Marine, Charlotte brings a unique perspective and unwavering commitment to her advocacy work. She leverages her extensive experience as a project manager and mechanical estimator within the construction sector to support and empower the transgender and LGBT community.
As a sports enthusiast, Charlotte’s passion extends beyond her professional life. She channels the same drive and dedication into her advocacy, working tirelessly to provide resources and support for professional development and self-help within the community. Her leadership and compassion make a significant positive impact on the lives of those she serves.
Kacie Wilson (She/Her)
Secretary & Founding Board Member
Kacie is a devoted LGBTQIA+ advocate and an experienced analytics director with years of expertise in technical and data analysis. As a wife and mother of three, Kacie brings a personal and compassionate touch to her advocacy work. Her professional background enables her to provide valuable insights and support in career development and training.
Kacie is committed to empowering the transgender and LGBTQIA+ community through education, skill development, and mentorship. Her dedication to creating opportunities for growth and advancement makes her an inspiring leader and a pivotal figure in the community she serves.
